The Livingston County Circuit Clerk’s office functions as the administrative and clerical branch of the Circuit Court. The primary goal of the Circuit Clerk’s Office is to provide courteous, efficient, impartial, and cost-effective service to the residents of Livingston County and all individuals involved in the judicial system.
Among its responsibilities are the maintenance of official court records, the recording of documents for filing and appeals, and the provision of data and information to various government agencies and the general public. Additionally, the Circuit Clerk’s office is tasked with the collection of fines, fees, costs, and penalties as mandated by state statutes and County Board resolutions, and the subsequent distribution of these funds on a monthly basis to the county, state, municipalities, and townships.
