Historic Courthouse (on Google Maps)

Located on the square, the Courthouse was built in 1875 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. J.C. Cochrane designed the historic edifice of the County’s third Courthouse. An Abraham Lincoln statue on the south side of the Courthouse lawn memorializes the numerous visits Lincoln made to Pontiac between 1840 and 1860. Renovations of the Historic Courthouse were completed in November of 2012.
