Time is Running Out to Pay Real Estate /…

The final day to pay real estate or mobile home taxes is Wednesday, November 16, 2016.  Payments may be made at the County Treasurer’s Office in the Historic Courthouse or by mail, but the payment MUST reach the Treasurer’s Office before November 16, 2016.  Payment MUST be in the form of a cashier’s check, money order or cash.  Personal checks are not accepted and will be returned.

Payments using a credit card can also be made on the Treasurer’s page of the County’s website (www.livingstoncountyil.gov).  The credit card companies charge a convenience fee of 2.25%.

Delinquent notices were mailed on Monday, October 17, 2016 and will show the amount currently due.

Our annual tax sale of delinquent taxes will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016.

Property Taxes Second Installment Due September 15, 2016

Barbara R. Sear, Livingston County Treasurer, is reminding property owners that the due date for the second installment of property taxes is Thursday, September 15, 2016.  Payments can be made at any area bank, by mail or in the Treasurer’s office in the Historic Courthouse in Pontiac. Payments using a credit card can also be made on the Treasurer’s page of the County’s website (www.livingstoncountyil.gov).   Banks will not accept payments after Thursday, September, 15, 2016.

No personal checks for payment of taxes will be accepted after October 11, 2016:  payments must be made using cash, cashier’s check or money order.  Payments must be received by the Treasurer’s office before October 20, 2016 to avoid publication.
