The Circuit Clerk's office is the administrative and clerical arm of the Circuit Court. This office's duties include maintaining official court records, recording documents for filing and appeals, serving as a source of data and information for various government agencies and the general public. In addition, the Circuit Clerk's office is responsible for collecting all fines, fees, costs and penalties assessed pursuant to state statutes and County Board resolutions, and distributing those monies on a monthly basis to the county, state, municipalities and townships.
