Property Taxes Second Installment Due Monday, September 18, 2017

Barbara R. Sear, Livingston County Treasurer, is reminding property owners that the due date for the second installment of property taxes is Monday, September 18, 2017.  Payments can be made at any area bank, by mail or in the Treasurer’s office in the Historic Courthouse in Pontiac. A drop box is located next to the south entrance of the Historic Courthouse for after-hours payments.

Payments can also be made via the County Treasurer’s webpage at www.livingstoncountyil.gov using a debit or credit card as well as issuing an E Check (or by clicking on the below button). The credit card companies do charge a convenience fee and the fee will appear separately on both your receipt and monthly statement.

Banks will not accept payments after Monday, September, 18, 2017.

No personal checks for payment of taxes will be accepted after October 18, 2017:  payments must be made using cash, cashier’s check or money order.  Payments must be received by the Treasurer’s office before October 25, 2017 to avoid publication.

Several items of information are printed on the reverse side of the tax bill which may answer most taxpayer questions.  For further information readers may call our office at (815) 844-2306 between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM daily.
