BOARD APPROVES ESTABLISHMENT OF NURSING HOME CONSTRUCTION FUND

Effective May 1, 2004, revenue the county receives from Allied Waste, for hosting the Livingston Landfill, will be deposited into a fund that will be used to cover the costs of designing and constructing a nursing home.  This action was approved by the Board at their meeting on April 15, 2004 and is in response to the March election in which voters approved construction of a new nursing home via a referendum that was placed on the ballot.

It is anticipated that the nursing home building project will begin when construction of  the new county jail is completed in April 2005.
